Jeevandayini 1st Bone Marrow stem cell Drive

with this conviction, Jeevandayini scripted its First Bone Marrow Donor Drive on 7 June 2015.

The drive was held in association with All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) and Sarvodaya Group of Hospitals, Sector-8, Faridabad. The campaign witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 70 members of Jeevandayini and esteemed panel of doctors led by Dr Uma Kanga, Department of Transplant Immunology & Immunogenetics, AlIMS with the support of Mrs. Anshu Gupta,Managing Director, Sarvodaya Group of Hospitals and Mr. Ravinder Dudeja,President, Foundation Against Thalassaemia.

An informative presentation on Bone Marrow Transplant by Dr Uma Kanga was followed by brainstorming over Bone Marrow Transplant,Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Donation and Cord Blood Stem Cells Donation.

The campaign helped record 36 Bone Marrow Donors with Asian Indian Donor Marrow Registry(AIDMR) which is encouraging in itself.

Jeevandayini's pledge to escalate this number further led to many more drives and we have not looked back since!
